While Louis’s philosophy sounds simple — bring a forward-thinking, hands-on approach to the practice of family law — this philosophy and the way he interacts with clients sets him apart from other family law practitioners.
Perhaps there’s no better . . . nor more personal . . . way to express this than by quoting Louis:
I believe it is imperative that when representing a client in a Family Court matter we examine all aspects of the client’s life so that a holistic resolution can be presented to the client. While it’s easy to go to court and fight over various aspects of a divorce (child support, visitation, and so on), it’s important to remember that many times there are children involved in these matters and that the relationship between parent and child must be protected and preserved.
All clients involved in family litigation will have days when they are at their wits' end. It is my job to identify those days and help my clients make good decisions even on their most emotionally difficult days. I will give my best advice and talk with clients until they’re able to reach a decision that serves their best interests and the best interests of their families.
I believe it is important to empower every single client to make every decision in their respective cases: the client is the person who must continue his or her life after the case is complete.
By taking this approach and assisting each client in a step-by-step manner, I’m doing everything possible to assure that the tools necessary to continue forward in life after the case is complete are available.
What’s more, by taking this approach, the decisions that are made are always being made by clients with an eye towards not only their futures . . . but the future of their relationships with their families.
I sincerely enjoy what I do every day. I believe I am helping people on a daily basis to survive one of the most difficult periods of their lives. I sincerely appreciate my clients putting their trust in me and giving me the opportunity to assist them during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
